Hi, I’m Kristie, the stylist behind The Velvet Locke. Hair has always been more than a service to me. It is a moment to slow down, feel cared for, and walk away feeling like yourself again. After stepping away from the chair for several years to focus on family, returning to hair felt both natural and intentional. I came back with a renewed appreciation for the trust my clients place in me and a deeper desire to create an experience that feels calm, personal, and unrushed. The Velvet Locke was created with women and moms in mind, those balancing busy lives who want to feel polished and confident without high maintenance routines. My work focuses on natural, dimensional color, lived in blondes, and rich brunettes designed to grow out beautifully and fit real life. I believe great hair should feel effortless, healthy, and wearable. Every appointment is intentionally one on one, allowing time for thoughtful consultations, education, and results that feel aligned with your lifestyle and personal style. Cancellation Policy
At The Velvet Locke, all appointments are reserved exclusively for one client at a time. Out of respect for my time and other guests, I kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice for any appointment changes or cancellations.
Appointments cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours’ notice may be subject to a 50% service fee. No-show appointments will be charged 100% of the scheduled service.
If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, your appointment may need to be adjusted or rescheduled to ensure I can stay on time for other clients. Late arrivals may still be subject to the cancellation fee.
